Online booking unavailable - To BOOK - Email Jenny: Thecoldwatertherapist@gmail.com The Cold Therapy Collective, our unincorporated association, is proud to announce that we have been awarded funding to carry out a 16 week cold water therapy project. The project begins in February 2026 and offers guided sessions on alternate Sundays 10am-11am, until May 3rd 2026 as follows: 1st & 15th February 1st, 15th & 29th March 12th & 26th April 3rd May. Location: Harlaw Reservior, Balerno Cost: Free Eligibility: Funding from The Midlothian Carer Community Fund is specifically for unpaid carers living in Midlothian. Attendance to every session not required. Places limited each session - booking is required. Completion of the Cold Water Safety Induction (online) is mandatory. (Fully funded for participants of the project) Medical & Risk agreement required. Kit: A safety tow float is provided to keep. Bring swimwear & water shoes. Full kit list on registration. Other items available to borrow. Rooted in my own personal journey through stress and grief, I am dedicated to sharing this potentially life-changing experience with others. Join us and discover the effects of cold water to enhance your mental & physical well-being, reduce isolation, build a supportive community and plunge you in to the proven benefits of green & blue spaces. The Midlothian Carer Community Fund is an initiative led by VOCAL and funded by Midlothian Health & Social Care Partnership, aiming to distribute grants to community organisations. The fund intends to: * Expand support for carers * Build community capacity * Promote sustainability. Are you a carer? You may not have called yourself a carer until now… maybe it’s just what you do. Whether out of love, kindness or a sense of obligation and responsibility. Do you spend time caring for someone close to you? If a partner, parent, child, family member, friend or neighbour who relies on your help is living with: Frailty Long-term condition or disability Physical health condition Mental health condition Additional needs Drug or alcohol dependency …then you’re definitely an unpaid carer! Not eligible for this project? The Cold Therapy Collective is always seeking funding to support projects that expand access to safe, guided cold-water therapy for anyone facing barriers.
