Blue Monday
Alva Glen
Service Description
Monday, 19 JANUARY - Alva Glen - 10:00am-11:30am approx Rewriting the story of “the saddest day of the year” This year, we’re scrapping the Blue Monday myth and turning it into something uplifting, empowering, and joyfully cold. Join me for a gentle escape into the stunning Ochil Hills for our very own Blue (and Green Space) Monday! A chance to reconnect with nature, move your body, and experience the revitalising magic of cold water. We’ll begin with a leisurely walk up Alva Glen, following winding paths and tumbling waterfalls. It is approximatley a 20 minute walk, with some inclines - we will walk at a slow pace. You’ll then arrive at my favourite plunge spot where we’ll take an icy, invigorating dip together with the mighty Lions Head Waterfall watching over us. A real reset for the body and mind, surrounded by the stillness of the hills. This experience is all about reframing the narrative: instead of sinking into the winter slump, we rise into it! Embracing fresh air, community, movement, and the strength that cold water brings us. *Completion of the Cold Water Safety Induction is mandatory before joining swim experiences * Your booking will be fully confirmed once your medical/risk acceptance form has been checked * A full email detailing where we meet and what to bring will be sent out once you have booked * Access - Moderate, some short, steep woodland stair inclines. Narrow, uneven paths. Good mobility and flexibility required. Access to the main pool is stony underfoot but gradual. Access to the waterfall pool requires rock scrambling (optional). Approximate 20 minute waterside walk to the pool from the car park.
