Available dates: Saturday, 24 OCTOBER - 08:00am Yes, I know that's early but it's our only possible opportunity to get parked at The Hermitage whilst it's in all of it's Autumn glory. This place looks phenomenal in it's Autumnal coat and receives many visitors and photographers from across the world. It's worth a try to secure the ultimate October swim! The Hermitage at Dunkeld is probably the most spectacular swim spot in Dunkeld. We will walk the trail through the Douglas Fir trees (some of the tallest in Britain!) and view Black Linn Falls from the picturesque Ossian's Hall. Then we will head back downstream to find the safest dipping pool (I will select this depending on water flow and rainfall). Please note, conditions will dictate where it is safe to swim - I cannot guarantee a swim under the bridge, infact, depending on conditions I cannot guarantee a swim at The Hermitage. In such instance we will instead swim at Loch Faskally. * Completion of the Cold Water Safety Induction is required for all guided experiences. The Theory of the Cold Water Safety Induction is now available online for those who prefer to learn at their own pace or cannot attend an in-person induction. Visit Education in the website menu and select Essential Guide to Cold Water Therapy & Wild Swimming (Cold Water Safety Induction). * It is always recommended to get a medical check up before starting cold water therapy * Limited places available * Transport is not included - car sharing is recommended * A good level of mobility and flexibility is required * Access level - Moderate - Woodland walkways, some steps, one small steep descent. 10-15 minute walk from the carpark to the falls. * The water is cold! Consider wearing a wetsuit if you are not acclimatised to cold water * Tow floats essential * What to bring, where to meet and everything you need to know will be detailed in your confirmation email.
